April random pics

Ave, Luke (Ava's brother), and Evan
I love this picture of Cody with his little foot hanging out.
They play so good together now... I love it!

I read the books at nap time and Mikey reads at night time.

Mikey started holding Evan this way and reading to him at night around 6 weeks.

Around 7 mo. Mikey said that he was going to have to turn him around soon because he was getting too big to hold this way. As you see here around 9 mo. it still continues...

and he is still stitting this way...

and today he is still sitting this way. He doesn't want to sit any other way. Evan gives the best night time snuggles. Sometimes we get him to bed later then we want because he just gets so lovey and cute at this time. He knows just how to work his parents.

Cold rainy day... perfect for rain boots. Michelle gave us Nathan's rain boots and they now fit Evan perfectly.

Bumblebee showed up as a special surprise at Marty's Transformers birthday party! Everyone was very excited and rushed outside to see... except Evan and I. We stayed inside and watched from the window. :) Evan was very happy that he was too big to come into the house.

I think these two were more excited then the kids.

(Mikey with his brother Marty)

Marty turns 6! Happy Birthday little man!

Pinata time!

Checking out all his goodies.

Serenity did an amazing job making the pinata. She told me it was a lot of work for something that was just going to get smashed up lol.

March Madness!

Every night we put Evan to bed with his quilt, seal, and Dino Dan. Then he calls us in and tells us he needs all his big guys and little guys. He is getting so big that there is hardly any room for him in his crib after all of this. Here he is sleeping with all his guys and sweating underneath them all haha! There is actually many more then what is seen in this picture. Before I go to bed I take them all out and it starts all over again the next night.

Evan loves to trade hats with his Daddy.

He still rubs his ears when he is tired. I love it!

He is not happy about me posting this but it is SOOOOO funny that I just had to. We are trying so hard to teach Evan how to ride his bike. It's hard when he only wants to do it for 2 minutes and then play with something else. Mikey was trying to show him how it works and how much fun it is hahahah! Such an awesome Dad!

Yikes... green food! Happy St. Patricks Day! Our good friend/neighbor JP had a Toy Story birthday party. The kids dressed up and had a great time.
It's Woody x 3!

Over the weekend we went to the Chandler bbq and beer festival with some friends. They had many bounce houses. Evan was very nervous about going into any of them until we found one that was only for children 4 yrs and younger. Once we convinced him to go in he never wanted to come out. Then he became super brave and wanted to go in this big obstacle course one that was too old for him (pic below). I wasn't sure he could do it or that he would go through with it... and he did and I was so proud of him. It was awesome!

This was the end of it and he had to climb up a super tall wall that was practically straight up and then go down a very steep slide on the other side. Thank goodness for this big boy next to him who picked him up and helped him get up half of the wall.
Yah Evan! Such a big kid!
Fishing for sharks. Evan won a blow up Nemo!
After the festival we went over to Tina and Dustin's house to hang out. Here is Evan hanging out with the guys playing with the Ipad. Almost every day he asks me for an Ipad for his birthday... sheesh... like that is going to happen.
Sunday Mikey had to work so we went with for a little while.

He loves going for a ride on the chair.
...and loves giving Daddy a ride.
There it is.... Nemo, his winning prize!
Ava loves to brush her dolls hair and Evan's.
If you are wondering if they are always this cute the answer is YES...always! If one cries out or whines about anything the other immediately runs over to comfort. So darn adorable! They giggle and make each other laugh all day.

Curtains in the beach room!

Evan's big boy beach room has been a work in progress for quite a while now. Early last summer we got it all put together and it's pretty much just been the play room ever since. Just recently he has been asking me when he gets to sleep in the big boy bed. Ugh... he's ready but his Mommy isn't.

There are a few things that still needed to be done... for instance, curtains.
Here is Evan trying to help Daddy.

Here is Evan throwing a tantrum because his Daddy wouldn't lift him up to help.

Sitting on the bed pouting.

Evan looking super cute and grown up.
(That is not a bad paint job on the wall... something funky from the flash.) :)

Trying not to smile.
He just can't help himself. Silly kid!
