Big boy bed!

YAH! First night sleeping in the big bed in the beach room. The last couple of months he has been telling me and Mikey that he will sleep in his big boy bed when the baby gets here. Ugh... we didn't want to wait that long and wanted to have the baby room set up before November. We also didn't want to force him out of his bed and room when he wasn't ready. We were at Target this very day and he saw a Lightning McQueen pillow (in pic) that he fell in love with and had to have. I told him I would consider buying it for him when he was ready to sleep in the big boy bed. He said he was ready, I bought it, and that's all it took. :) YAH! At first he looked a little panicked when I kissed him goodnight in his new bed so I asked him if he wanted me to stay in his room just for a couple minutes. He said, "Why?" Nevermind... haha! I didn't want to start that anyway. We're so happy we let it happen on his terms. Happy kid and happy parents.

To all the parents of little children... these things are awesome! They are called Magic Nuudles. It keeps Evan entertained for SO long. He builds all kinds of interesting objects and there is no mess. You dab them on a wet paper towel and stick them together.
I finally got caught up on my blog all because of this beauty right here (my niece Erica).
Evan has sooooo much fun every time she comes over. She plays non-stop with him and he adores her. Thank you Erica! We love you!

Wedding/Anniversary Party!

Looking super cute for the wedding.

Congratulations Linda and Gilbert!

I really love this picture!

Cousin Wyatt and Evan having a serious 3 year old conversation.

Evan dancing with his cousin Alex.

Having fun!

This is how we go shopping these days... with george lol. It was Mikey's morning to get up with Evan. When I woke up I found Evan eating his breakfast like this. Daddy is definitely the coolest.
Getting ready to walk to our neighborhood park to watch fireworks.

Happy 4th of July!

Just cute!

Happy Father's Day!

Making blueberry muffins for Daddy.

Clean up was even more fun.

We had a great lunch at Tempe Market Place with Tata.

Just some cute pics!

Mikey has been going on A LOT of interviews lately... Evan wanted to dress up too.

We decided to convert Evan's crib into a toddler bed (since we can't get him into the big boy bed and bedroom we got ready for him about a year ago.) We woke up the next morning and found him like this. Staring at the tv which was not on lol. Looking in the monitor and seeing my kid not in his bed was not fun. Thank goodness every day after this one he has stayed in his bed and yelled for me or Mikey.
I know I have posted pictures like this in the past but I just love it. He still always has to sit at the door and watch his Daddy mow the lawn. He thinks his Daddy is the coolest. He loves when Mikey is done mowing so he can go out and help with the rest of the yard work. I really love it too... awww, some piece and quiet in the house. :)

My cousin Tiff has twins, Max and Emma, who are almost 3 years old. Unfortunately, we live far away from each other so we don't see much of each other. Her and I grew up best friends and hope for our kids to be close as well so we have to work harder at getting together... are you listening Tiff? :) Here is Evan and Max giving me their cheesy 3 year old smiles for the camera... love it!
Evan is happiest when he is outside playing. I'm counting down the days until fall.

My friend Debra and her little girl, Jocelyn, came over to play. Evan gave her lots of love... and hopefully not a virus....

because later that night he looked like this. Fever! Ugh! Oops... really hate when that happens. Didn't see it coming at all.

Every time he puts this hat on I seem to run for the camera. So stinkin cute!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy 3rd Birthday Evan!

So Yummy!
Lexie and Kylie (Cousins)

JP (friend and neighbor)

Luke and Marty (friend and cousin)

Alex (cousin)

We bought a bunch of bubbles for the kids but I think Evan emptied them all out before anyone could play with them... sorry everyone. lol!

Nana and Tata David

Ava (friend)

The day after the party we had a fun time opening everything up and playing all day.

This happened over night...superheroes! He is still convinced that Spider Man is a bad guy no matter what we tell him...I'm actually ok with that for now. He is really into Batman and that is enough for now. He is getting so old so quick!

Evan loves his binoculars! Thanks Virginia, Mike, Alex, and Monique. He takes them almost everywhere.

First time flying a kite. It was hilarious! It took a LONG time but Mikey finally got it in the air...for a little while.

Grandma and Grandpa came over for a birthday dinner.

Evan didn't have too much fun at Famous Daves for his birthday dinner. He was too afraid the dress up guy was going to come. So head down playing ipod helped some.

Excited to open more presents from Mommy and Daddy!

Every year for Evan's birthday I buy him a book and write to him in it and put pictures of him at that age. Something he can have forever. Really did good this year with this book. He loves it a lot. He even tells me daily that he wants to name his little sister My Favorite Michael. :)

I am not a big fan of pinatas. They actually scare me a lot. So, this year when Evan wanted one we talked him into letting him pick one out on his actual birthday and take turns with Mommy and Daddy. I know what you are thinking.... but he is 3 yrs old and we got away with it. He was actually very happy and excited about this idea. Probably won't work for the future. Once it was all smashed up (by Mikey) we all had a lot of fun hunting for candy in the backyard. It flew everywhere.
