Kristen was in town and was visiting her parents who have a house in Flagstaff.  She invited us over...or maybe I invited myself.  I don't remember but I'm very close with this family... so it's ok. :)  Their cabin was BEAUTIFUL!  The weather was wonderful and it smelled wonderful... I didn't want to leave!

After having lunch and visiting for a while we drove to Bearizona!  The drive was so peaceful and beautiful.  Both kids were also sleeping which helped.

We had never been here before so we were all very excited!  The black SUV ahead of us was Kristen and her parents.

This bison just walked right in front of our car.  This picture was not zoomed in... awesome!

The wolves were cute and playful!  One was running around with a bucket on his head.  I took a picture but it came out blurry.

Not sure what is going on with these busses but Evan thought it was pretty cool.

Evan thought it was really cool to be out of his carseat.  He wasn't sure about it at first but quickly got very comfortable with the idea and climbed up front with us.

Bear!!!  They walked around the cars like we didn't even exist.

Coming right at us... but we were the ones on the wrong side of the road lol.

There is a walk-through portion that was also a lot of fun!

As soon as we walked in they put a tattoo on Evan's arm.

Not a big fan of birds but did enjoy the bird show.
(Kristen and Jan)

The weather was wonderful!  My little ones always get red cheeks even when it is the slightest bit warm.

Evan loved this guy...

but Jayda wasn't too sure.

He was so excited to see the raccoons.

The baby bears were so fun to watch.

Awww... love this picture!

Love this one too!  :)

For dinner we went to Beaver Street Brewery.  We love this place!  We had only been here one other time, before we had kids.  It was a whole different experience this time around.  This little chica was WILD!

Watch out Debra... there is a new Tic-Tac-Toe champ now!  Lol! :)
After dinner we walked around the shops and got icecream.  We had a great time! Evan already wants to go back.

8 mo.

8 mo.

Walking back and forth holding onto Daddy!  He was acting as the human gate.

This little boy LOVES anything superhero.  He is already talking about Halloween and planning out what he wants to be.

 Taking apart the train track.

My sister in law Michelle told us that we had to get the children's book Cookies Bite-Size Life Lessons by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.  It's the best!  It is one of Evan's favorite books.  It is one of my favorite books.  Great book for teaching life lessons in a way that children can understand.  At the end of the book there is a recipe for cookies.  We decided we better make some.  Evan couldn't believe that we were making cookies and it wasn't even a holiday...hahaha, that's how much I bake.  :)

Evan loves anything Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately.  The show starts Sept. 29th.  Not sure if it will be too scary.  Evan and his Daddy are hoping it won't be...they are both very excited about it lol.

Preschool (Pre-K)

Evan's first day of preschool.  He did great and had a lot of fun.  His only complaint was that there were too many kids and it was a little crazy.  I on the other hand had a lot of complaints... especially about the teacher.  Ugh... time to look around for something better.

At Peter Piper Pizza celebrating his first day of preschool. Such a big kid!

Vacation pics!

This summer my parents went to Ireland, my sister and her family went to Boston, and my brother and his family went to San Diego.  So, we all got together at my sister's house to eat and look at everyones vacation pictures.  It was a lot of fun!

Darn it Evan!  Haha!  He really hates when I interrupt him playing with his cousins for a picture. :)

All in one week...

The week before Jayda turned 8 mo. she crawled, sat on her own and pulled up on furniture.  Crazy!

It was an exciting week!  This boy thought it was great!  He kept saying... Mommy, look at her!

The gate!

Jayda is into everything!  She wants nothing to do with her toys and only wants Evan's.  She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth.  We talked to the doctor about this and she said to keep pacifiers around so hopefully she will use those instead... nope, she would rather chew on his stuff.  So, the gate had to come out.

Look at this face!  :( She hated it!  So....

we put him in it.  He thought it was awesome!  We don't have a picture but soon after sheets went over the top and it became his fort.

Sometimes my family room looks like this.  Ahhhhh!  Those who know my know that I hate a dirty cluttered house (the car is a different story lol).  Some days (a lot of days) I just have to deal.  :)
